CALIFORNIA LIGHTNING SPRINTS FINISH FIRST HALF
OF THE SEASON SATURDAY AT THE SANTA MARIA
SPEEDWAY (Torrance, CA, July
23, 2024) The California
Lightning Sprint Car Series will wrap up the
first half of the 2024 campaign this Saturday
night, July 27th, at the Santa Maria Speedway.
In addition to being a full points-paying race
for the CLS, it will be round one of the annual
Civil War Series that matches the Southern
California-based racing club against Northern
California’s Bay Cities Racing Association.
After Saturday’s show, the CLS will take a
seven-week break before returning to action at
the Bakersfield Speedway on September 13th...(more).

SERIES RETURN TO THE SANTA MARIA SPEEDWAY (Torrance, CA, July
8, 2024) A season that could
be described as disappointing for veteran driver
Jeff Dyer in the California Lightning Sprint Car
Series finally turned around last Saturday night
when the California Highway Patrol officer led
all 30 laps in the first CLS main event at the
Santa Maria Speedway since 2022. Dyer pocketed
$500.00 for the victory in a purse that was
fattened by Channel Islands Floorcoverings, T

TWO-YEAR ABSENCE, THE CALIFORNIA LIGHTNING
SPRINT CARS RETURN TO SANTA MARIA

first time in nearly two years, the California
Lightning Sprint Car Series will be racing this
coming Saturday night, July 6th, at the Santa
Maria Speedway. The race will carry a purse that
pays $500.00 to the winner and $100.00 just to

Howdy, folks! After discussions with the
promoter and other clubs, it has been decided to
shorten the Santa Maria Speedway event
originally scheduled for July 5th and 6th. Now,
it will take place on a single night: Saturday,
July 6th. This adjustment aims to create an
exciting show for fans and racers alike. The
payout for Lightning Sprints remains $100 to
start and $500 to win, with potential additional
payouts later in the season. Stay tuned for the

SPRINTS MAKE SECOND VENTURA APPEARANCE ON
SATURDAY (Torrance, CA, June
3, 2024) After a two-week
break in its busy schedule, the California
Lightning Sprint Car Series will make its second
of five appearances at the Ventura Raceway this
Saturday night, June 8th. Spectator gates for
the race at “The Best Little Dirt Track In
America” will open at 3:00 p.m., and racing will
