CLS MEMBER COMMUNICATION
MARCH 3, 2026.

Racers, it’s go‑time. This Friday we ignite the 2026 season, and the California Lightning Sprints presented by Motor City GMC are set to roar back to life.

March 6–7, the desert turns into our battleground as we charge into Imperial Valley Raceway for Races 1 & 2 of The Clash — a full‑throttle showdown with the Southern California Lightning Sprints. Two nights. High intensity. This is where the tone for 2026 gets written.

Before you roll through the gates, make sure everything is dialed in:

Your cars are prepped and race‑ready

All safety gear is current and compliant

Your 2026 Membership Form and W‑9 are filled out and ready to hand in

And the momentum doesn’t stop in the desert. Two weeks later, on March 21st, we return to the Beach for our first 2026 stop at Ventura Raceway. With that on the horizon, here’s the latest Ventura info hot off the presses

RACER NOTICE: NEW ASPHALT PIT RULE FOR VENTURA RACEWAY
Heads up, teams — Ventura Raceway has laid down fresh pavement in the parking‑lot pit area, and with the new surface come a few growing pains. Starting this weekend, any car pitting on the asphalt is required to have a tarp under the race car. No exceptions, no negotiations — just keeping that new blacktop protected and clean.

The track will try to have a limited number of tarps for sale, but don’t count on availability. Bring your own tarp and make sure your pit spot stays clean and leak‑free. Everyone may end up parked on the asphalt at some point, so help spread the word.

Ventura Raceway appreciates everyone’s cooperation as they work through the early stages of the new paving. Let’s keep things smooth and keep the show rolling.
